FAQs

Q. Where do we source LilFood’s ingredients?
LilFood is sourced locally and 100% of ingredients are Aussie grown.

Q. Where do we prepare LilFood meals?
We prepare our food in a human-grade kitchen in Brunswick, VIC. Unlike typical pet food companies that outsource their manufacturing, we produces in-house, which means we control every part of our production process.

Q. Is LilFood meats cooked or raw meat?
Raw meat and bones carry bacteria that can make both animals and humans ill and so are not recommended (source RSPCA.org.au). Kangaroos aren’t farmed or raised in controlled farming conditions and can often contain parasites. LilFood cook all meats used on a light heat to make eating safe for your dog(s).

Q. Can I mix LilFood with dry food or other food?
Yes you can! Whilst LilFood will give your dog all the nutrients and vitamins it needs, you can certainly give your dog a mix of wet and dry food for variation.

Q. What vitamins and nutrients are contained in our LilFood products?
Vitamins A, B6 , B12, C, E & K, Iron, riboflavin, choline, thiamine, magnesium, calcium, folate, Omega 3,6&9 and dietary fibres.

Q. Why is it important for your pet to have a balanced diet?

Pets that don't receive the appropriate mixture of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals are more likely to be underweight, have dull coats, dandruff, allergies, or even suffer from heart conditions in extreme cases.

Q. How long will the food last for?

Fresh food lasts for up to 4 days refrigerated. Up to 6 months in the freezer.

Q. What seasonal vegetables are used?
Including but not limited to fresh spinach leaf, kale, peas, celery, green beans, pumpkin, broccoli, carrot, sweet potato, squash, berries and seeds (all subject to availability).

Q. Can I feed Lil Food to my puppy?
Our meals keep up with the liveliest of pups through optimal all natural nutrients and vitamins for a developing dog. As puppies are continually growing, they require changing serving sizes to ensure the healthy development of their muscles, bones and organs. As their weight increases you will need to update the portions to match their changing size and weight.
